Polyurethane Bracers Care and Maintenance

Polyurethane doesn’t get damaged easily, but battle and winner celebration can leave several scratches and wine spills after the action. If you notice any spots or grime on the surface, use a mild soap solution to wipe it clean. Avoid anything aggressive, like:

• alcohol;

• bleach;

• home cleaning supplies;

• vinegar;

• degreasers. 

These can ruin the color and composition of the material, and your armor will be hard to restore to the original state. Since bracers have leather straps, avoid putting them in water. Use only a damp cloth to wipe it down and pat it dry immediately. 

Do not scrub the surface with a brush. Do not dry clean. If you are not sure if a cleaning agent can be used on the piece, contact us or try it on a small spot first. When you are not in action, take the bracers out of the storage once a week and wipe them down gently. This will prolong their lifespan. Remember to protect from long UV exposure and do not dry under the sun — the surface might crack, and the colors might fade.
