Con Morhen 2026 - The Alder Bloor Event Review
We recently had the chance to visit Con Morhen 2026 - a Witcher-inspired festival held in Roudnice nad Labem, Czech Republic - and honestly, it was one of the most welcoming fantasy events we've attended so far.

As representatives of LarpShopKeeper, we met an incredible number of passionate people - from experienced LARPers and roleplayers to complete newcomers who simply wanted to experience the atmosphere of a fantasy world for the first time.

Few Words About Con Morhen Event

What makes ConMorhen special is how accessible it feels. You do not need an extremely expensive or complicated costume to become part of the world. Some visitors wore simple fabric outfits, while others appeared in full heavy armor - both plastic and steel. The most important thing was not the budget or complexity of the costume, but whether your character matched the spirit and atmosphere of the event.

From the very beginning, the festival encourages exploration. At the entrance, every visitor receives an event map containing the program schedule, locations of camps and attractions, and a booklet for tracking completed quests and collected stamps.

Different Camps

The whole-con game encouraged visitors to explore different faction encampments across the festival grounds. By completing tasks and activities, players could collect “readiness” stamps in their event booklet.

The factions participating in the game included the Nazair Brigade, the commandos from Mayena, the Mahakam Enclave, the Kaedweni army, the Temerian army, the Redanian army, the Skellige berserkers, the Lodge of Sorceresses, the Brotherhood of the Golden Hive, La Cosette Rosette, and the witchers of the Bear School.

Each faction offered its own atmosphere, characters, and challenges, giving visitors many different ways to interact with the world of ConMorhen and become part of the larger story unfolding throughout the event.

Activities

The activities covered an impressive variety of experiences: archery, crossbow shooting, even ballista shooting, lockpicking challenges, LARP combat, investigations involving NPCs, and many smaller interactive tasks hidden throughout the festival grounds.

The whole in-game economy made the event feel even more alive. By completing quests and participating in activities, visitors earned coins that could later be spent on additional experiences or exchanged for small symbolic rewards.

One of the most memorable details was the Vivaldi Bank system. If you needed more money, you could actually borrow coins from the bank - but sooner or later, the guards would come looking for repayment. And if you failed to return your debt… well, chains and public shame were always a possibility.

Cosplay Guests and Creators

Another wonderful part of the festival was the opportunity to meet well-known cosplayers and guest creators from around the world. Throughout the event, visitors could encounter talented costume makers, performers, and cosplay judges who helped bring the world of The Witcher to life and inspired both newcomers and experienced creators alike.

Beyond the quests and roleplay, Con Morhen also offered a huge amount of lectures, workshops, practical activities, concerts, performances, and themed community spaces inspired by The Witcher universe. The festival constantly rewarded curiosity - there was always something happening somewhere, if you knew where to look.

Final Thoughts

The entire venue felt less like a convention and more like a living fantasy town. Whether you came to roleplay, fight, trade, learn, perform, or simply enjoy the atmosphere, there was a place for you there.

We are very grateful to have experienced Con Morhen: The Alder Blood 2026, and we are already looking forward to seeing how this event grows in the future.

Special thanks to the organizers, volunteers, performers, NPCs, craftsmen, and every participant who helped create such an immersive and welcoming world.
